Every Mother's Dream

My RAD is finally healing!!
It tickles me to death-
I hope it lasts forever-
I wait with baited breath-
I have longed for this moment,
for days and months and years,
through thosands of prayers,
and gallons of my tears-
She is not being nasty,
and has a pleasant face-
She even lets me cuddle,
not rejecting my embrace-
I cherish every second-
I soak up every hug-
I simply can't believe
that she's not being smug-
Oh, God, she's waking up!!!!
Please don't let it end!!
I'll give anything You ask,
if only You'll extend
this moment a moment longer,
as I dream this dream once more,
of mother and daughter united,
instead of being at war-
